The American Cancer Society, World Lung Foundation and The Tobacco Atlas authors released the 3rd edition of The Tobacco Atlas at the 14th World Conference on Tobacco OR Health in Mumbai earlier this month. The Tobacco Atlas is in review. As part of our commitment to rigorous publishing and data standards, and to providing the tobacco control community with the highest quality reference possible we are opening the text to public comment and input.

Please send your comments to tobaccoatlas@cancer.org no later than April 15, 2009. We would appreciate it if you could make your comments as clear, specific, and concise as possible, and include specific chapters and citations for any changes, edits, or updates that you suggest.

Your comments will be carefully considered by the authors and the sponsoring organizations as we revise the print edition of the Atlas for its second and much larger print run and update the online version. These changes will also be updated on www.tobaccoatlas.org.
